In addition to our superb medical staff, we are lucky to have a fantastic staff of
counselors, activities & logistics staff who
commit their time to ensuring that each camper has a memorable experience. Campers are assigned to cabin groups by age & gender with two to three counselors assigned to their cabin. But it is the combination of all staff members who make camp a great week!

What Makes Camp Independence Special?
Camp Independence is Georgia’s only overnight, week-long summer camp providing essential medical care, treatment & FUN for kids with kidney disease and transplants. Camp Independence recognizes that campers are normal children but have special needs. We strive to provide these children with opportunities for development & individual growth, peer support & normal life experiences.
